Ainda que o termo fake news \u00e0s vezes seja usado para descrever qualquer not\u00edcia enviesada ou que tenha erros factuais, \u00e9 preciso lembrar que a produ\u00e7\u00e3o e propaga\u00e7\u00e3o de mentiras na internet pode ser uma atividade bastante lucrativa. Ao contr\u00e1rio das imprecis\u00f5es do notici\u00e1rio, que muitas vezes ocorrem por algum descuido dos jornalistas, as inven\u00e7\u00f5es difundidas pelas fake news s\u00e3o propositais e muito bem calculadas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Os deepfakes representam essa diferen\u00e7a muito bem. Por se tratar de um conte\u00fado audiovisual gerado por intelig\u00eancia artificial (IA), nenhum profissional da imprensa poderia us\u00e1-lo \u2014 salvo em alguma ilustra\u00e7\u00e3o pontual. Quem forja uma declara\u00e7\u00e3o em um deepfake demonstra uma inten\u00e7\u00e3o bastante clara de induzir as pessoas ao erro.<\/span><\/p>\n

A linguagem da not\u00edcia frequentemente usa imagens e declara\u00e7\u00f5es de entrevistados para trazer fatos e an\u00e1lises de especialistas. Como o deepfake adultera v\u00eddeos e grava\u00e7\u00f5es sonoras, falsificando seu conte\u00fado, ele \u00e9 capaz de simular os elementos da not\u00edcia e produzir uma fake news bastante convincente.<\/span><\/p>\n

Endosso falso<\/span><\/h2>\n

Treinando a intelig\u00eancia artificial com imagens e grava\u00e7\u00f5es de uma pessoa famosa, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel adulterar v\u00eddeos para modificar o que est\u00e1 sendo dito. Se uma pessoa famosa endossar algum produto ou causa, o deepfake pode facilmente direcionar a fala para outro tipo de mercadoria.<\/span><\/p>\n

O golpista tamb\u00e9m pode editar o v\u00eddeo para incluir elementos visuais que corroborem com a narrativa, mas a pe\u00e7a-chave \u00e9 um di\u00e1logo fict\u00edcio em que o convidado e apresentador exaltam a qualidade da mercadoria ou servi\u00e7o.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A ideia \u00e9 insinuar que houve uma indica\u00e7\u00e3o espont\u00e2nea do produto durante o programa noticioso.<\/span><\/p>\n

Um exemplo disso ocorreu com um apresentador de um dos podcasts mais famosos do mundo, que teve sua imagem e seu podcast usados de forma ileg\u00edtima em pe\u00e7as publicit\u00e1rias para promover suplementos alimentares.<\/span><\/p>\n

Declara\u00e7\u00e3o forjada<\/span><\/h2>\n

Com not\u00edcias amparadas em deepfakes, golpistas podem tentar influenciar os movimentos da bolsa de valores de forma positiva ou negativa.<\/span><\/p>\n

Com a intelig\u00eancia artificial, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel usar a imagem e a voz dos diretores da empresa<\/a> para anunciar projetos, lucros ou preju\u00edzos que n\u00e3o existem. A dissemina\u00e7\u00e3o desse tipo de not\u00edcia, dependendo das circunst\u00e2ncias, pode influenciar os investidores por um breve momento.<\/span><\/p>\n

Em 2022, um perfil falso de uma empresa farmac\u00eautica anunciou que um medicamento seria oferecido de gra\u00e7a e, no dia seguinte, a a\u00e7\u00e3o da companhia registrou uma queda de quase 5%. Embora a declara\u00e7\u00e3o tenha sido dada sem deepfakes e n\u00e3o seja poss\u00edvel dizer que a queda foi provocada pela publica\u00e7\u00e3o, a conta tinha um status privilegiado na rede social e confundiu algumas pessoas. A farmac\u00eautica teve de se manifestar para desmentir a informa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n

Uma varia\u00e7\u00e3o desse golpe mistura o tema do endosso falso e utiliza empres\u00e1rios para promover oportunidades de investimento, principalmente em criptomoedas. Os v\u00eddeos s\u00e3o divulgados em transmiss\u00f5es ao vivo e propagandas em redes sociais, simulando uma palestra ou entrevista. Quem envia o dinheiro solicitado jamais recebe qualquer retorno.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assassinato de reputa\u00e7\u00e3o<\/span><\/h2>\n

Deepfakes tamb\u00e9m podem ser usados para assassinar a reputa\u00e7\u00e3o de uma pessoa, seja ao coloc\u00e1-la em situa\u00e7\u00f5es vexat\u00f3rias ou falsificando declara\u00e7\u00f5es pol\u00eamicas. As imagens podem ser combinadas com elementos visuais t\u00edpicos de telejornais, conferindo a elas uma credibilidade indevida.<\/span><\/p>\n

Muitas redes sociais n\u00e3o permitem ataques diretos \u00e0 imagem de uma pessoa. Desse modo, esses conte\u00fados geralmente tendem a circular apenas entre grupos de usu\u00e1rios ou em publica\u00e7\u00f5es tempor\u00e1rias. Cada um de n\u00f3s precisa tomar cuidado para n\u00e3o compartilhar um conte\u00fado falso sobre outras pessoas \u2014 especialmente quando a pessoa n\u00e3o \u00e9 famosa, pois tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 comum que o conte\u00fado falso seja usado para constranger pessoas pr\u00f3ximas, como um colega de trabalho ou familiar.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tanto os deepfakes como as not\u00edcias falsas j\u00e1 fazem parte da internet e representam um risco para sociedade e para cada um de n\u00f3s como indiv\u00edduos. Por mais que uma imagem pare\u00e7a real, \u00e9 fundamental considerar a possibilidade de algo foi inventado, principalmente quando desconhecemos a fonte ou quando se trata de alguma alega\u00e7\u00e3o extraordin\u00e1ria.
